Fender benders are common, especially in places with a large number of vehicles. But, what if you’re driving a Land Wind X7 and accidentally bumped into the real deal?
Unfortunately for this pair of drivers in China, it appears that the red Land Wind accidentally bumped into the Range Rover Evoque, coincidentally also in red! Thankfully, the damage does not appear to be very severe.
To recap, the Land Wind X7 is essentially a carbon copy of the Range Rover Evoque. Granted, Jaguar Land Rover isn’t too pleased with the doppelganger roaming the streets of China, but there’s little they can do. Despite the fact that JLR complained to the Chinese authorities about the Land Wind, they have reportedly dismissed the case, and given the Land Wind a green light for sale.
Despite its visual similarities, the Land Wind X7 has a wheelbase that is 10 mm longer than the Evoque, while the overall body is 50 mm longer. Powering the Land Wind X7 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 188 hp. Buyers in China can opt between a six-speed manual and an eight-speed automatic. Versus the Evoque, the Land Wind gets a larger touchscreen display on a dashboard that is very similar to the British SUV.
