Jaguar Land Rover, the official distributor and importer of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in Singapore recently pulled the covers off the all-new Jaguar F-Pace in Singapore.
The Jaguar F-Pace is the British company’s first-ever SUV. Unmistakably Jaguar, the F-Pace draws heavily from the C-X17 Concept. Key Jaguar design elements, including the bulging front bonnet and large signature grille are carried over from the F-Type supercar.
Powering the Jaguar F-Pace is a 2.0-litre Ingenium turbocharged diesel engine that outputs 180 PS and 450 Nm. The diesel powerplant enables the SUV to hit 100 km/h from 0 in just 8.7 seconds. Those seeking more thrills can opt for the 3.0-litre supercharged V6, similar to the one that powers the Jaguar F-Type. The larger engine features two state of tunes, namely 340 PS and 380 PS. The 340 PS variant can hit 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, while the 380 PS variant shaves 0.3 seconds off that time, bringing it down to 5.5 seconds. The Jaguar F-Pace is only available with an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.
In Singapore, the Jaguar F-Pace can be had in four variants: Prestige, R-Sport, S and First Edition. Similar to Mercedes-Benz’s Edition One models, the Jaguar F-Pace First Edition will be a limited run variant. Available in Caesium Blue and Halcyon Gold, the F-Pace First Edition features a sliding panoramic sun roof, unique 22-inch Double Helix 5-spoke alloys, gloss black fender vents and LED headlights.
The Jaguar F-Pace has a starting price of SGD 245,999. Included in the price is a 5-year service package and guaranteed registration by July 2016. What about local debut you ask? All we can say is wait and see.
