Good news for those travelling back to their hometown this Hari Raya holidays! PLUS will be offering 30% toll rebate for those paying toll electronically via PLUSMiles and Touch ‘n Go card or SmartTAGs.
According to PLUS Malaysia Berhad Managing Director, Dato’ Noorizah Hj Abd Hamid, the toll rebate will be given to Class 1 Vehicle users paying toll electronically on Off-Peak Days on 4, 8 and 11 July. It is is offered for 24-hours to those travelling more than 100 kilometres on the PLUS highways which includes North-South Expressway (NSE), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) and North South Expressway Central Link (ELITE).
The toll rebate however does not include the Penang Bridge, Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam and Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Toll Plaza.
Noorizah further adds that the public paying toll electronically will still be required to pay the full toll charges on 4, 8 and 11 July. However, the 30% toll rebate (in a form of toll reload) can be redeemed at all PLUS customer service centres between 15 August 2016 and 14 November 2016.
The rebate is part of an initiative to distribute the traffic and to encourage the public to travel on Off-Peak Days so of you’re planning to save some cash, you are recommended to travel on the dates mentioned above.
PLUS will soon issue its Travel Time Advisory (TTA) to help the public enjoy smoother travel on the highways during the upcoming festive season. We’ll keep you posted with more travel info soon!
