Subaru has unveiled the Levorg STI in Japan, available with either a 1.6-litre or a 2.0-litre boxer engine, both of which are turbocharged.
The Subaru Levorg STI receives bespoke Bilstein DampMatic II shocks, revised electric power steering and larger 18-inch alloys.
Outside, the Levorg STI can be differentiated by an updated front end, featuring a new bumper design, LED fog lights and chrome exhaust tips. Customers can also option the Levorg STI with Subaru’s iconic WR Blue Pearl paint for that added 90s rally touch.
Under the bonnet, the Subaru Levorg STI is largely similar to the regular variant, with no power bump. The smaller 1.6-litre turbocharged boxer outputs 168 hp while the larger 2.0-litre variant outputs 296 hp. Both engines are mated to Subaru’s own Lineartronic CVT that drives all four wheels.
Prices start from 3,488,400 Yen (~RM 129,237) for the 1.6-litre model, while the 2.0-litre model will retail for 3,942,000 Yen (~RM 146,007). The Subaru Levorg is expected to make a Malaysian debut later this year. Check out our first impressions of the Levorg here.
