At a special event held at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has announced that they have contributed over RM200,000 for initiatives that supports the growth and development of Malaysians.
MBM President and CEO, Dr Claus Weidner said, “CSR is part of our commitment to the Malaysian community. We want to be an enabler for future generations, and contribute to the community in a meaningful way. It is when we help those in need that we are truly making a difference in the world. Today marks the launch of a campaign which we hope will enrich the lives of the various groups involved.”
Through Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s MobileKids initiative, they are promoting road safety by providing child car seats for rental. A total of 245 child seats have been contributed so far.
Elsewhere, MBM has announced that they have sponsored another RM120,000 to KLPAC, bringing the total sponsorship amount to well over RM1.2 million. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is one of KLPAC’s founding sponsors.
The company also recognizes the importance of education in empowering future leaders of tomorrow, and they have contributed more than 200 units of pre-owned computers to Teach for Malaysia, a non-profit organization. Teach for Malaysia and Monfort Boys Town will receive 50 computers each, while three vernacular schools will each receive 35 computers.

We are very delighted to do our part in contributing towards the growth of the nation by supporting various communities to help them achieve their best potential,” he concluded.
