Peugeot’s outgoing C-segment sedan, the 408 Sedan is a bit long in the tooth. The replacement model, also called the 408, is currently on display at the 2016 My Auto Fest, happening at MIECC.
Like the outgoing model, the new Peugeot 408 Sedan will be available in two variants, namely the naturally-aspirated 2.0 and the turbocharged 1.6 variant. The one on display is the range-topping 408 e-THP, with the e signifying the car’s start-stop feature.
Powering the new Peugeot 408 Sedan, in its e-THP trim, is a 1.6-litre turbocharged THP engine with direct-injection that delivers 165 hp at 5,200 rpm and 250 Nm from 1,450 rpm, Power is fed to the front wheels via the company’s six-speed Quickshift automatic transmission.
Equipment level is also generous, as the Peugeot 408 e-THP gets Full LED headlights, a 9.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electric parking brake, Smart Park Assist II, Blind Spot Information System (BLISS), 6 airbags and Intelligent Traction Control.
