Another spyshot of the upcoming 2016 Proton Perdana has emerged. This time around, the said car is finished in a coat of white paint. The Nissan Teana, which is conveniently parked beside the Perdana, likely indicates that Proton is currently conducting training for salespeople to familiarize themselves with the new car.
Thanks to the Proton Perdana 2016 Facebook page, this is by far one of the clearest view of the new Proton D-segment sedan.
Visible up front are the LED daytime running lights with projectors, large bodykit and front parking sensors. The side profile is reminiscent of the Honda Accord its based on, including the shoulder line and side mirrors. This particular Perdana is of the 2.4 variant, evident from its rear emblem and choice of rims.
Curiously, the rear end of the body kit is finished in body colour, instead of the dual tone type we saw during the 2015 Alam Proton carnival. Earlier spyshots have also shown the same finishing, which could mean that the final product will adopt a similar finishing.
The 2016 Proton Perdana will utilize the Honda Accord’s 2.0- and 2.4-litre engines, as well as sharing the Honda’s 5-speed automatic transmission.
