Oh dear. Just when I thought luxury carmaker Infiniti could do no wrong since it has the likes of the gorgeous Q70, the locally-available Q50 and even more gorgeous Q50 Eau Rouge, as well as the very nice FX37 which we tested here, in their stable, they’ve come out with this, the colossal QX80 SUV.
It is absolutely massive in terms of physical size and powered by an equally massive 5.6-litre V8 that churns out 400bhp, mated to 7-speed automatic transmission (specs based on US model)
Do you remember the Toyota Land Cruiser Ninja-Turtle? This is bigger. Bigger than even its successor the massive Land Cruiser VX.
Apparently it’s slated to be launched here in M’sia in 2015. Knowing Infiniti, it’s going to be superb to drive, and class-leading in terms of interior luxury and appointments. How anyone’s going to be able to park it or drive it in downtown KL remains to be seen.
Styling is of course subjective, so we’ll leave it to you to decide on its looks, but for some odd reason, when I first saw it from the front, it reminded me of this:
