Now in its fifth year, the Honda CR-Z has received yet another facelift, and this time the changes are quite extensive. The Honda CR-Z received its first facelift in 2013.
Thanks to CarNewsChina, we now have confirmation that Honda will be facelifting their hybrid sports hatchback again, this time, bringing along a revised interior and exterior.
While Honda has retained the CR-Z’s iconic looks, but now with a revised front bumper. The lower lips on the CR-Z are now more prominent than before, and it appears that the new CR-Z will also benefit from LED headlights. The Honda CR-Z also gains a new set of alloy wheels, as well as larger side skirts.
Like the front end, the facelifted Honda CR-Z will also be getting a revised rear bumper, while the rear lights are identical to the current generation ones.
Inside, the arrows point at a new touch screen infotainment system, a new gear knob and new chrome door handles. Like the Honda HR-V, the CR-Z now adopts an electronic parking brake. The empty spot where the handbrake was is now occupied by a new armrest.
The facelifted Honda CR-Z is expected to carry the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine with Honda’s IMA electric motor assist, which can be had with either a six-speed manual or a seven virtual-ratio CVT. Whether power figures will increase or remain is yet to be known.
With the Tokyo Motor Show coming up in October, could we be seeing its debut there? Stay tuned!
