In light of Honda Motor Co’s recent announcement where a Malaysian was among the fatalities caused by the Takata airbag issue, Honda Malaysia has announced a recall of 15,734 Honda cars to replace the defective airbag systems.
The involved Honda cars consist of 15,612 units are the City sold between 2003 and 2004 while the remaining 122 units are the Jazz sold in 2004. Honda Malaysia will still provide the recall support even through the ownerships of these cars changed during the 10-year period.
This is not the first time Honda Malaysia announced such recall as earlier in June, they announced one to replace the passenger airbags for four Honda cars, and that’s including the 2003 City and 2002-2003 Jazz.
