Go Auto, the sole distributor of Haval vehicles in Malaysia has formally introduced their latest SUV, called the Haval H2. The new Haval H2 is currently available in three trim levels.
Powering the Haval H2 is the company’s in-house 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder VVT engine that pushes out 147 hp at 5,600 rpm and 210 Nm from 2,200 rpm till 4,500 rpm to the front wheels. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
The entry-level Haval H2 Standard is the sole variant equipped with the six-speed manual. Equipment includes keyless entry with push start button, ISOFIX child seat mounts, dual SRS airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Collision Fuel Off System, electric height-adjustable headlights, daytime running lights (DRL), Lights-on Warning System and all round seat belt reminder. Go Auto says that the Haval H2 Standard will retail for RM89,950, OTR inclusive of road tax and GST.
Moving one level up nabs you the Haval H2 Comfort. The Comfort adds automatic head lamps with automatic wipers, sunroof, multifunction steering wheel with Bluetooth and cruise control, cargo curtain, electric lumbar support adjustable driver seat, front side airbags plus side curtain airbags, reverse camera, infotainment system with AUX and USB connectivity, 6 speakers, electric foldable side mirrors with turn signal, Blind Spot Visual System, Atmosphere Light, Follow-Me-Home function and dual-zone automatic air-conditioning. The Haval H2 Comfort can be yours for RM98,950, OTR with insurance and GST.
The range-topping Haval H2 Premium is exactly the same as the H2 Comfort, save for the dual-tone paint job, which adds another RM3,000 to the price, retailing for RM101,950.
Currently, the Haval H2 comes in CBU form, and Go Auto will be introducing a CKD variant in the near future. Expect the CKD version to carry most of the kit as this Aussie-spec car.
