Ford has just taken the wraps off the new Ranger, their best-selling pickup truck in our region. We were at the global debut of the new Ford Ranger, and here’s our coverage.
Brett Wheatley, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford Asia Pacific said, “The new Ford Ranger brings a new level of comfort and refinement to its segment without compromising on the rugged capability that our customers demand. It represents a smarter kind of tough, and will help our customers to achieve more, whether at work or with their families.”
The new Ford Ranger has a completely new front end, as well as a revised and more stylish interior. The new trapezoid grille takes centre-stage of the new Ranger, and has a pair of new projector headlights for that bold, imposing looks.

Moving inside, the new Ford Ranger boasts an interior that is even more car-like than its predecessor, with a central eight-inch touchscreen in the dashboard. Also new is the dual-TFT LCD display that replaces the conventional meter cluster for better visibility and premium feel.
“The interior of the new Ranger is sleek and modern, with a strong technical aspect to it,” continued Dewitt. “Accentuating the design, we’ve chosen materials that are stylish and attractive while being durable enough to handle the harsh life of a work truck. The interior may look more car-like, but it’s as practical as ever.”
