British MI6 agent, James Bond is synonymous with Aston Martin, starting with the Aston Martin DB5 that made a debut in Goldfinger (and another 5 more James Bond movies), all the way to the Aston Martin DBS in Quantum of Solace (which got wrecked). For the next James Bond installment, the British spy will be getting a new Aston Martin DB10.
Designed specifically for the movie Spectre, the Aston Martin DB10 is set to be the ultimate car for Bond (ultimate Bond cars that comes to mind : the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish in Die Another Day, and the BMW 750iL in Tomorrow Never Dies). The Aston Martin DB10 will be built in-house by Aston Martin’s design and engineering teams.
CEO of Aston Martin, Dr Andy Palmer said, “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond. To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin. I’m incredibly proud of everyone in the team at Gaydon who have brought this special project from concept to reality.”
Aston Martin will only be be building 10 units of the DB10, and Spectre is expected to hit cinemas on 6 November 2015.
