Proton will be organising an open day, themed, “Alami Proton” on 27 & 28 September 2014 to showcase its automotive technology and engineering capabilities at its headquarters in Proton Centre of Excellence (COE) Complex, Shah Alam.
Besides showcasing its automotive technologies, the open day will host a lot of activities for kids as well such as wall-climbing, laser tag, fun kart racing, foos-ball, video games and air hockey, just to name a few. Visitors who drop by at the event will also be able to have a passenger ride in Proton R3 and Lotus demo cars, and the opportunity to take a tour of the Research and Development (R&D) and Medium Volume Factory (MVF) plant facilities.
To add into the excitement, there will also be the public launch of Proton ‘s new compact car (PCC) /Iriz and the opportunity to test drive this latest addition in the Proton model range.
Proton ’s engineering and technology showcase at the event will feature a number of interesting exhibits on the various technologies utilised to develop the safety, performance, styling and comfort of a Proton car. Also on display will be products and services from Proton vendors such as Robert Bosch, TRW, Delloyd Industries and KYB-UMW Malaysia, among others, all of whom also supply their parts and technology to renowned foreign car companies.
The event begins at 10 am to 10 pm on Saturday, 27 September with closing performances by Malaysian celebrities such as Johan and Zizan of the duo comedian JOZAN and singer Hafiz, Malaysia’s Most Popular Male Artist. The highlight of the night is the lucky draw session where the grand prize winner will be taking home a brand new Proton Compact Car/ Iriz and on top of an amazing fireworks display to end the event.
On Sunday, 28 September, the event continues again from 10 am till 6 pm and will have similar activities to the first day but will end with a magic show in the afternoon and a karaoke battle. For more info about the “Alami Proton” open day, visit www.proton.com.my.
