Meanwhile, superior superbike riding dynamics and powerful, emotive roadster styling are the hallmarks of the new BMW S 1000 R. Based on a well-thought-out overall concept exuding raw motorcycle appeal, the new BMW S 1000 R is a combination of an aggressive design and sporty ergonomics with a high-performance engine, innovative chassis and suspension technology, as well as infectious handling with the highest standards of stability – all of which will take the sports roadster segment to an all new level.
“The new BMW S 1000 R is the naked version of our two-time Sportbike of the Year, the BMW S 1000 RR. While it shares many similarities to that which made the legendary BMW S 1000 RR superbike, the new BMW S 1000 R will be powered by a tuned-for-torque version of the BMW S 1000 RR’s engine as well as many roadster-specific modifications to deliver an even more sporty performance both on the road and on the race track,” Dr. Pils added.
BMW Group Malaysia is confident that with the introduction of the new BMW R nineT and the new BMW S 1000 R which caters to a diversed range of customers, the premium automaker’s performance in the Malaysian market will continue to grow. Dr. Pils noted that, “Following our success in the first quarter of 2014, I am confident that BMW Group Malaysia will mirror the success of our global counterparts. We are pleased to announce that a total of 105 Motorrad bikes have been delivered as of March 2014, charting an 8% increase as compared to the 97 Motorrad bikes delivered in the same period last year.”
