The organisers of Formula E have revealed the circuit layout for the second round of the series, to be held in Putrajaya, Malaysia, in late October. This is the second layout released by Formula E after showcasing the layout for the inaugural race in Beijing, China, last month.
The Putrajaya street circuit will feature 12 corners and is 2.56km long, running through the centre of the administrative city for Malaysia. As seen in the layout, the electrical race cars of Spark-Renault SRT_01E will pass landmarks such as the Prime Minister’s Office in Putra Perdana, the Putrajaya Convention Centre, the Ministry of Finance headquarters and so on.
Series boss Alejandro Agag said: “We’re delighted to be unveiling this layout.
“Six months from now, 20 drivers in electric race cars will be battling it out on the streets of Putrajaya and I can’t wait. My thanks go to all those involved for creating this fantastic circuit”.
The Formula E Putrajaya ePrix will be organised by Formula E Malaysia and unlike in Formula One, all practice, qualifying and race sessions will be held in a single day on the 18th of October 2014, and a live-concert at night will mark as the closure of the race in Malaysia.
